Sr. Manager, Operations

Your Role

The Installation & Billing team is responsible for managing the installation of new membership and maintaining the existing 3.8M members we currently serve in our commercial business. The Senior Manager of Operations will report to the Director of Operations. In this role you will lead multiple teams across Large and Small Group Renewal, IFP renewal, EDI and ID cards and focus on driving operational excellence to ensure our employer groups and members receive timely access to care, this includes the timely issuance of ID cards and the successful oversight and management of open enrollment. Your Knowledge and Experience

• Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Requires at least 10 years of prior relevant experience, including 4 years of management experience
• Requires knowledge to lead teams across multiple functional areas
• Experience in leading and providing strategic direction for operational based teams required
• Experience in healthcare operations required; with preferred experience in enrollment and installation
• Demonstrated leadership, change management, collaboration, coaching, development, and mentoring skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex information in a manner that others can understand at all levels of the organization.
• Acumen to handle complex situations and multiple responsibilities simultaneously with the urgency of immediate demands on the operations

Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is: $ 125,000 to $ 187,400 for California.

Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.
