We are seeking a dynamic Division Manager (DM) to oversee the day-to-day operations teams, sales team and P&L of our rapidly growing Ontario, CA Division through effective leadership, direction, and engagement of all employees.
Reporting to the Regional Vice President as well as working closely with the executive team, the successful candidate will develop and implement strategic sales and operations goals in alignment with corporate directives for our Ontario facilities.
In addition, this top role will lead a team of 35 employees (4 direct reports) in Sales, Customer Support, and Warehouse Operations, drive engagement, allocate resources, develop team members and position the division for continued success as we exceed $150m in revenue.
Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Develop and maintain an annual business plan that includes programs for improving the profitability of the division
  • Maximize division profitability by implementing programs that optimize service and inventory management efficiency
  • Foster a collaborative environment within your team
  • Encourage cross-functional alignment in your branch as well as nationally
  • Develop, communicate, and ensure execution of the sales plan alongside the Regional Vice President through coaching of the Sales Manager, Division Operations Manager, Sales Reps, and Customer Service Manager
  • Drive all aspects of operational excellence at every touchpoint for the division
  • Hire, train, mentor, and develop all direct reports, including the Warehouse Manager, Sales Manager, and Customer Service Manager
  • Work with executive leadership to set and execute the budget annually
  • Other duties as required may include purchasing, vendor management, facilities management, inventory management analysis, maintaining a customer account base, correspondence, and other administrative duties
  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of Sales, Customer Service, and Warehouse units
  • Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key community and strategic partners.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws

The targeted compensation for this position is between $200 - $230k base plus targeted bonus, depending on skills and experience of the selected candidate.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; and five to eight years of related experience in a General Manager or Director level role
  • Minimum of 10 years of Sales and Operations Management experience
  • Demonstrated experience in distribution, packaging experience a plus
  • Proven track record of building strong relationships across the organization, overcoming challenging cross-functional issues, and the ability to lead/influence others.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability along with the ability to get results through others.
  • Demonstrated ability to gain the respect and trust of the sales force and operations team as a leader with a strategic vision
  • Prior P&L responsibility required
  • Proven success managing a $200M+ business required
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication/presentation skills; comfortable developing and delivering executive-level presentations as well as external/public communications
  • Microsoft Office with emphasis on Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Experience with Salesforce a plus
