Apply now Job Summary Under the supervision of the Program Manager, conducts and coordinates approved nutrition education programs in assigned Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed) eligible schools in the School District of Philadelphia (SDP) and in eligible community sites to school-age and adult populations. Coordinates PA SNAP-Ed activities at assigned sites. Coordination includes: meeting with site staff, committees, and partners to assess, review and plan site wellness goals and interventions; planning, scheduling, and conducting direct education adhering to SNAP-Ed guidelines; seeks and participates in opportunities for policy, systems, and environment (PSE) interventions with the goal of positive behavioral changes for participants. Participates in Back to School nights, health fairs, workshops and other allowable school and community events that support PSE initiatives. Participates in evaluation activities as assigned. Utilizes Microsoft applications. Responsible for scheduling and coordination of nutrition education and PSE activities within assigned areas of responsibility. Responsible for accurate and timely documentation and reporting of activities as required. PA criminal background check, FBI Clearance and child abuse clearance are required. Responsible to complete Occupational Health requirements. Must have valid driver's license and access to a reliable mode of transportation. Current ServSafe Manager Certification is a plus. This is a 10 month position paid over 12 months. (Off over the summer months when SDP is not in session. Dates determined based on SDP school calendar.) Essential Functions

Additional Information This position is classified as Exempt, grade I.. Compensation for this grade ranges from $41,120 - $61,680. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
