POSITION SUMMARY
The Tax Accountant manages tax-related tasks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and optimizing tax strategies to minimize liabilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Prepares tax provisions, schedules, returns, payments, reports and maintains the company's tax database.
- Conducts thorough tax research to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Coordinates outsourced tax preparation work.
- Assists in tax planning and strategy development to minimize tax liabilities.
- Analyzes financial data to identify tax-saving opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Communicates with internal stakeholders and external agencies regarding tax-related matters.
- Stays updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Collaborates with other departments to streamline tax processes and optimize financial outcomes.
- Provides support during audits and assists in resolving any tax-related issues.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

PREFERRED SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required. CPA certification or equivalent professional qualification strongly preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax accounting or similar role.
Computer Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, with advanced knowledge and experience in Microsoft Excel

Other Requirements: Accounting/GAAP knowledge, expert-level analytical and financial modeling skills and strong data skills required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
