As a Quality Specialist at Journey Group, your mission will be to champion excellence in construction projects by ensuring they adhere to the highest standards of quality and compliance. Collaborating with field leaders, you'll implement and maintain project-specific QA/QC plans, conduct rigorous inspections, and track noncompliance issues diligently. Your role involves developing comprehensive quality management strategies, partnering with project teams to interpret contract documents, and leading quality control activities during key phases of the project lifecycle. You will track deficiencies, facilitate the resolution of non-compliant materials, and maintain meticulous documentation to ensure project success. Additionally, you'll monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), participate in submittal reviews, and support safety initiatives to guarantee that all projects meet established safety procedures and goals. Your commitment to ethical practices and continuous learning will help foster a culture of quality at Journey Group. Are You A Good Fit For This Quality Specialist Role? To excel as a Quality Specialist at Journey Group, you will need a blend of educational background and practical experience, ideally holding an associate or bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field. A minimum of one year in construction management or quality control is essential, although a combination of education and relevant experience may suffice. Key skills include a strong attention to detail and analytical prowess, enabling you to draw logical conclusions from complex data. Effective communication-both verbal and written-is crucial for building partnerships and establishing credibility within teams. You should be adaptable, open to new ideas, and willing to embrace constructive dialogue. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling software is necessary, alongside a basic understanding of accounting principles. Lastly, a strong customer focus, ability to prioritize multiple tasks, and a commitment to professionalism will set you apart as a valuable team player at Journey Group.
