Job purpose:



  • We are building a team to internally develop and operate services that are currently outsourced to external vendors. By doing so, we aim to enhance the quality and speed of IT services in the connected domain. The Web Engineer will play a crucial role in this initiative by leveraging expertise in Angular and Node.js to build robust front-end and back-end systems. This position contributes to our mission of delivering cutting-edge solutions in the mobility domain by developing and operating innovative web services, ultimately boosting our competitiveness and customer satisfaction.


Key Accountabilities:



  • Front-End Development: Develop and maintain user interfaces using Angular, ensuring responsiveness and optimal performance across devices.
  • Back-End Development: Build and manage server-side applications using Node.js, including API development and database integration.
  • Service Development and Operation: Lead the end-to-end development and operation of web services, from planning to deployment and maintenance.
  • Documentation and Task Management: Create comprehensive design documents and operational manuals to support application development and maintenance for Confluence. Manage team and your own tasks management using Jira.
  • AWS Service Management: Design and implement back-end servers using AWS services, ensuring scalability and reliability.


Workstyle:



  • Hybrid: At least 3 days per workweek at the local office at Torrance, CA.

Education:



  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.


Minimum experience:



  • 5 or more years of professional experience in web development.
  • Proven experience in building front-end and back-end systems using Angular and Node.js.
  • Hands-on experience in developing and operating services independently.
  • Experience in creating design and operational documentation for application development.5+ years of professional experience in web development.
  • Proven experience in building front-end and back-end systems using Angular and Node.js.


Other job-specific skills:



  • Preferred Experience - Building and operating services in the mobility domain.
  • Project management experience.
  • Proficiency in setting up back-end servers using AWS.
  • Technical Skills Strong understanding of web technologies and frameworks Ability to work with databases and manage APIs.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Eagerness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies..
