Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Consultant with SharePoint Expertise, specializing in intranet solutions, to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering SharePoint-based intranet solutions that align with our clients' business objectives, enhancing internal communications, collaboration, and document management. You will work closely with both internal teams and clients to design, implement, and optimize SharePoint intranet environments, ensuring seamless integration with other business systems and driving operational efficiency. This is a client-facing role that requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of SharePoint's capabilities, especially in the context of intranet and internal collaboration platforms.

Responsibilities:



  • Serve as a subject matter expert on SharePoint and intranet solutions, providing expert guidance on the design, implementation, and optimization of SharePoint-based intranet platforms.
  • Lead client workshops, requirements gathering sessions, and solution design discussions related to functionality.
  • Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from initial scoping and design to post-implementation support.
  • Customize SharePoint intranet features such as content management, news publishing, knowledge base, enterprise search, and user engagement tools.
  • Develop and deploy SharePoint web parts, apps, and custom solutions using SharePoint Framework and other relevant technologies.
  • Ensure seamless integration of SharePoint intranet sites with other enterprise applications for a cohesive digital workplace experience.
  • Leverage Power Automate, Nintex, or SharePoint Designer to automate workflows, approval processes, and other internal business processes within the intranet environment.
  • Enable advanced search capabilities, custom metadata tagging, and document management features to enhance the intranet's usability and discoverability of resources.
  • Conduct training sessions for clients and their teams on how to effectively use and manage their SharePoint intranet, ensuring they understand the full range of collaboration, communication, and document management capabilities.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting to ensure that the SharePoint environment operates smoothly and remains aligned with the clients' evolving needs.
  • Create and maintain user guides, knowledge bases, and other documentation to help clients maximize the value of their SharePoint intranet solutions.
  • Work closely with project managers, developers, and business analysts to ensure that team meets business and technical requirements.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications:


Qualifications:



  • Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust 6c clearance.
  • Minimum of 6-9 years of experience working with SharePoint, with a strong focus on designing and implementing intranet solutions using SharePoint Online and SharePoint Server.
  • Proven experience designing and deploying SharePoint intranet environments, including content management systems, team collaboration features, news publishing, and internal communication solutions.
  • Experience with SharePoint migrations, upgrades, and customizations for intranet platforms.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead workshops and facilitate requirements gathering sessions focused on intranet design and functionality.
