The Program Manager, Sample Operations and Production is responsible for managing the design, and production of all packaging materials used for sales samples. This role requires a detail-oriented and experienced manager with expertise in K-12 sampling, marketing, and supply chain management.

The Program Manager will coordinate the development and production of national and state adoption samples and implementation packaging to meet sales, marketing, and expense objectives. As the main point of contact for production and assembly-related issues, the Program Manager will oversee the bill of materials management, assembly instructions, and file management, working closely with Product Marketing, Marketing Operations, Marketing Design, and Operations.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Product Management and Sales to define objectives and develop effective packaging solutions.

  • Direct outside vendors to develop and manufacture packaging structures and inserts, ensuring timely delivery and necessary approvals.

  • Manage the flow of packaging projects across teams including Product Management, Product Marketing, Marketing Operations, Sales, Finance, and Operations.

  • Serve as a liaison between Product Marketing and external vendors to ensure packaging directions and schedules meet expectations. .

  • Work with various teams (Product Marketing, Sales, Bids & Proposals, and Operations) to develop and communicate production, assembly, and distribution plans.

  • Partner with Product Marketing, Field Marketing, Sales, and Design to develop customized packaging components and promotional materials.

  • Project manage packaging development with Marketing Design, Marketing Operations, Strategic Sourcing, and Operations.

  • Create and manage packaging development schedules, ensuring proper approvals are obtained.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in relevant positions

  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage multiple clients in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

  • Experience in platforms like Netsuite, Salesforce, Tableau, or other business intelligence tools

  • Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and G-Suite

  • Strong analytical, strategic, and creative problem-solving skills

  • Excellent oral, written communication, and presentation skills

  • Prior experience in managing samples and implementation in the K-12 market is a plus

  • Functional experience in marketing, sales, or product development

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the education, educational publishing, or technology fields

  • Direct experience working with design, production, and digital/print marketing teams

  • Ability to effectively prioritize in a deadline-driven environment

  • Strong innovative problem-solving skills

What we offer:

Salary is only one component of the Amplify Total Rewards package, which includes a 401(k) plan, competitive health insurance and mental health options, basic life insurance, paid time off, parental leave, and access to best-in-class development programs. The gross salary range for this role is $65,000 - $75,000. This role is eligible to earn an annual discretionary bonus that rewards individual and company performance.
