Position Summary |
The primary location of this position is the Cullowhee, NC campus.
The Associate Director of the Office of Student Conduct (
OSC) is an essential member of the leadership team in the
OSC. The Associate Director plays a significant role in the development and implementation of a comprehensive student conduct model while serving as a primary resource for the Director of the Office of Student Conduct the Associate Vice Chancellor and Dean of Students.
The
OSC adheres to an educational student conduct model which aspires to cultivate values in each student that are consistent with the Western Carolina University Community Creed and Code of Student Conduct. The
OSC strives to challenge students to be engaged community members who understand their rights, levels of accountability, and responsibilities.
The
OSC educates students through the student conduct process, programming, and outreach to foster a positive living-learning environment. |
Minimum Qualifications |
Master's Degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education, Education, Counseling, or a related field. At least 3 years of full-time, progressively responsible experience in a student-facing role in higher education. Proven ability to manage high-stakes situations with empathy, critical thinking, and attention to detail. |
Preferred Qualifications |
At least 2 years of full-time experience in student conduct or a related field. Demonstrated understanding of residential living, fraternity and sorority life, and organizational conduct. Experience developing and implementing educational or training programs related to student accountability. Strong record of collaboration across campus departments, including academic and administrative units. |
