This is an excellent opportunity for a Prospect Development Manager (40 hours/week) at our Jackson Street Administration Office in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

PPWI's compensation philosophy is rooted in equity. Starting offers are determined by both the candidate's applicable experience and internal equity. The Prospect Development Manager pay starts from $32.35 per hour.
Additional $1.50 per hour for bilingual (English/Spanish)
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Reporting to the Director of Philanthropy, Major and Principal Gifts, the Prospect Development Manager is responsible for identifying new prospects, conducting donor research, creating research profiles, lists and other research documents to support the strategic priorities of the organization. The Prospect Development Manager is also responsible for our "one to many" donor engagement for our mid-level donors via mail, digital, phone, and in-person activities. Responsibilities include the ongoing implementation and assessment of a robust mid-level giving program through cultivation, solicitation and stewardship strategies to build the pipeline to Principal and Major gifts. This position requires collaboration with other staff across the agency and regular data analysis and reporting to continually develop PPWI's donor pipeline.

- Demonstrated experience working independently and as a team member, experience working across multiple regions and remotely preferred.
- Experience in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required.
- Proficiency with Raiser's Edge (NXT) or other fundraising database, including database management, data mining and analysis, report generation and portfolio management.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 3-5 years working in fundraising, with fundraising database (Raiser's Edge preferred) or CRM databases required.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired may be considered.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The position is predominantly sedentary requiring the ability to sit, bend, stand and walk. May require occasional stooping, reaching, stair-climbing and repetitive motions of the hands and wrist related to writing and typing at an electronic keyboard. Rarely requires kneeling, pushing/pulling and repetitive motions of the feet.
Physical demands of the position necessitate hearing, talking, handling and grasping regularly. May require lifting up to 30 pounds. Specific vision conditions include close vision reading. Requires the ability to operate a computer, telephone, fax, copy machine, adding machine and calculator.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The position is generally performed in an office environment but involves frequent interruptions. The noise level is generally low. The work environment characteristics are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position. Occasional evening and/or weekend hours may be necessary.
This position requires traveling statewide therefore transportation, a valid driver's license and auto insurance in accordance with agency liability standards is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Include, but are not limited to, the following:
Prospect Research:
  • Execute a comprehensive prospect research program that identifies, rates, and recommends prospects through biographical, financial, and philanthropic research.
  • Evaluate, organize, and present prospect information in reports using gift capacities, key wealth indicators, and information helpful to determine prospect engagement
  • Operationalize strategies to re-activate lapsed mid-level and major donors.
  • Develop and implement proactive donor prospecting methodologies to identify potential supporters and track status internally.
  • Maintain an awareness of best practices in prospect research, management and pipeline development through ongoing professional development through ongoing professional development and networking.
  • Use prospect research tools to pre-qualify mid-level donors as major donor prospects move them through the pipeline to Principal and Major Gifts.
Mid-Level Program/Pipeline Development:
  • Partner with Director of Philanthropy, Major and Principal Gifts and Director of Philanthropy, Operations to ensure effective strategy management of the donor pipeline.
  • Partner with Director of Philanthropy, Major and Principal Gifts on quarterly portfolio reviews helping to ensure successful moves management techniques.
  • Maintain and evolve a comprehensive mid-level donor program including robust identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship activities and strategies.
  • Use robust data analytics to segment mid-level donors and analyze strategies for increased fundraising, retention, and engagement for this group.
  • Create an annual, measurable workplan and set up dashboard to track activity to meet annual performance metrics around acquisition, retention and growth.
  • Assess, identify and implement additional cultivation and stewardship strategies and tactics to strengthen mid-level donor's relationship with organization.
  • Perform additional duties as requested.
