Responsibilities

Position Overview

As an Associate Therapist, AID, you will play a crucial role in triaging crisis phone calls, assessing patient needs, and consulting with the on-call physician to determine the appropriate level of care. You will coordinate admissions to the inpatient unit, working closely with hospitals and community professionals to ensure seamless care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Crisis Management: Provide effective customer relations and triage crisis phone calls with compassion and professionalism.
  • Cultural Competence: Be oriented and educated in gender, cultural differences, and age-appropriate care for psychiatric and chemical dependency services.
  • Team Support: Provide backup for therapists and perform other clinical duties as needed, contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

  • What We're Looking For

    • Educational Background: Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related field. Licensed or currently pursuing licensure in Minnesota and receiving clinical supervision.
    • Experience: Two years of experience in behavioral healthcare is preferred, with knowledge of DSM-IV criteria.
    • Assessment Skills: Strong interviewing and assessment skills to effectively evaluate patient needs.
    • Professional Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with Clinical Directors and professionals in other organizations.
    • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word and Outlook.
    • Adaptability: Ability to smoothly and rapidly shift between dissimilar tasks
    • Decision-Making: Strong ability to make effective decisions in stressful circumstances.
    • Licensure: Associate level license in the State of Minnesota (LAMFT, LGSW, LPC) preferred.
