As a device engineer in the Product Integration team, you will develop physics-based models and generate improved understanding of the XBAR acoustic resonator performance and failure modes. You will work with RF designers, technology, and software teams to deploy this knowledge in pursuit of high-performance RF filters in mass production. What To Expect (Essential Job Responsibilities)

  • This position is responsible for improving acoustic resonator performance and simulation fidelity for RF filters with novel XBARTM technology,
  • Build understanding of key acoustic, electrical, and thermal behaviors of XBARTM technology; identify performance tradeoffs and mitigation techniques,
  • Develop and maintain internal FEM simulation tools for acoustic modelling; work with Software teams to create new tools which accelerate the pace of filter design,
  • Leverage large scale empirical RF data and physical analysis to improve modeling fidelity and device performance,
  • Identify key performance tradeoffs and design best practices, share learning with Technology and Design teams,
  • Create novel device improvements and associated experiments to support aggressive technology and product development schedules,
  • Contribute to the core understanding of XBARTM acoustic device operation and opportunities to improve.

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • BS or MS in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or equivalent,
  • 3+ years experience,
  • Programming experience in Python, MATLAB or equivalent,
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills,
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Design or device experience in SAW or BAW acoustic filters, or MEMS devices,
  • Experience with Semiconductor, MEMS, or acoustic filter fabrication, processing and characterization,
  • Experience with commercial Multiphysics or FEM simulations tools: COMSOL, FEMTET, etc,
  • Experience in technology or product development for high volume commercial applications.

Travel

  • Domestic travel between California offices is required.
  • Infrequent International travel is strongly desired.



Minimum Salary: $110,000

Maximum Salary: $220,000

We consider various factors in determining actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition to salary, this position is eligible for incentive awards based on individual and business performance as well as competitive benefits.
