What You'll Do
In this role, you will serve as an experienced individual contributor within a team, with the expectation to further develop your leadership, guidance, and mentoring skills. With minimal oversight, you will support the goal of meeting scope, schedule, and delivery requirements. As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you will contribute to the long-term goals of the program while implementing its DevSecOps and custom software solution development strategy.

You may act as the discipline's primary lead when working with stakeholders, leveraging strong influential skills to drive improvements in software engineering processes and practices.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design, build, and maintain a custom software solution to facilitate enterprise tool acquisition, maintenance, and end-user onboarding to the tool suite.
  • Provide expertise in the use of the standardized enterprise DevOps tool suite and associated processes.
  • Demonstrate accountability and ownership of contributions to an application code base.
  • Maintain a high-level understanding of adjacent technical areas and ecosystems to coordinate effective integration.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with owned systems, using incidents to drive educational opportunities and system improvements.
  • Mentor and assist junior engineers in developing their skills.
  • Communicate technical issues and developments effectively with team members and clients.
  • Participate in technical interviews with new candidates.
  • Propose and evaluate multiple approaches to technical and process challenges.
  • Lead small, less critical, or temporary team structures and projects when needed.
  • Present design documents, system diagrams, and other materials to clients, stakeholders, partners, and engineers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education).
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Demonstrated expert-level knowledge in at least one technical area (e.g., frontend, backend, or infrastructure engineering).
  • Experience with Java, AWS, and Kafka.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Java development.
  • Federal contracting experience.
