Customer Marketing Manager

What We Seek

We're seeking an experienced, customer-centric marketer to own customer marketing - driving customer engagement in-app on our Clear Learning Center platform and also across outbound customer channels like email, social media, and events. As the Customer Marketing Manager, your role will be instrumental in shaping exceptional customer experiences, promoting active platform use and supporting high product renewal rates. Leveraging tools such as Pendo and HubSpot, you'll design strategies focused on increasing engagement, retention, and satisfaction. You'll also manage the digital review experience for prospects, ensuring a seamless transition into the Clear Learning Center for new users. And you'll be deeply involved in the process of customers piloting our products before they purchase. Ideal candidates bring expertise in K-12 education marketing, thrive in cross-functional collaboration, and are passionate about creating impactful digital experiences. This position offers substantial growth opportunities within our Product Marketing team. If you're driven by a mission to enhance customer experiences in education technology, let's connect!

What Your Day Will Look Like

  • Customer Insights: Continuously gather customer insights through engagement data, feedback, and market research. Effectively communicate these insights across the organization to inform product development, sales strategies, and customer success initiatives, ensuring alignment with customer needs and expectations.
  • Customer Marketing Plan: Design and implement an annual strategic plan for customer marketing that aligns with organizational goals. This plan should focus on adoption, engagement, retention, and satisfaction through targeted campaigns and initiatives that deepen customer relationships and support long-term growth.
  • Platform Engagement & Campaign Execution: Develop and launch customer engagement strategies directly within the Clear Learning Center and through external channels. Utilize Pendo, HubSpot, and similar tools to drive targeted campaigns that boost platform usage and renewal, and customer loyalty.
  • Digital Review Experience: Lead initiatives to enhance the existing digital review experience for prospective customers, across all Carnegie Learning products, providing a seamless onboarding journey that aligns with Clear Learning Center standards and is recognized as best-in-class in the industry.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across Product Marketing, Customer Success, Product Management, Sales, and Content Marketing to deliver a consistent, cohesive experience at all touchpoints.
  • KPI Setting and Tracking: Establish KPIs in alignment with leadership. Monitor critical metrics-such as engagement, retention, and satisfaction-to ensure we meet objectives and surpass customer expectations.
  • Resource and Budget Management: Manage the budget for customer engagement initiatives, ensuring resources are effectively allocated for maximum impact.

What Should Be In Your Bookbag

  • K-12 Education Marketing Expertise: Proven understanding of the unique needs in K-12 education marketing, with experience engaging teachers, administrators, and school districts.
  • Platform Marketing Experience: Background in marketing for a software platform (SaaS experience preferred), with a focus on driving user engagement and customer satisfaction.
  • Digital Experience Design: Experience collaborating with content, design, and UX teams to deliver digital experiences that are intuitive, consistent, and engaging for customers and prospects.
  • Lifecycle Marketing and Automation: Experience in customer-journey mapping and lifecycle marketing, including onboarding, nurturing, retention, and reactivation campaigns.
  • Storytelling Ability: Strong storytelling skills to communicate how Carnegie Learning's solutions impact students and educators.
  • Proficient with Engagement Tools: Hands-on experience with Pendo, HubSpot, Pardot, or similar tools, leveraging data insights to drive engagement and retention.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities with an understanding of segmentation techniques and predictive analytics, and a track record of defining and measuring engagement metrics, interpreting data, and acting on insights.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Demonstrated success in working cross-functionally to align on strategies and drive cohesive customer experiences.
  • Creative and Adaptive: An innovative thinker with a flexible approach to optimizing campaigns for impactful results.
