Moog has an opportunity for a Supplier Quality Excellence Engineer to join our Central Supply Chain's Supplier Quality Excellence team. This position requires a quality-focused individual who will work hand-in-hand with each of the Aerospace, Defense, and Industrial Operating Groups to ensure that Moog continues to consistently deliver the high-quality products that our customers expect for safety-critical applications.

In this role, you will report to the Director of Supplier Quality Excellence in East Aurora, NY.

As a Supplier Quality Excellence Engineer, you will:

- Champion Moog's shared Global Supply Chain APQP Policy by:

  • Maintaining and Optimizing Moog's Supply Chain PPAP process & standard work instructions.

  • Driving the creation and roll-out of a global PPAP Portal & Document Storage System.

  • Optimizing Moog's supply chain Production Readiness Process.

  • Maintaining Moog's internal PPAP Tracking tools and providing escalation support as needed.

  • Collaborating with Moog's APQP teams across the Operating Groups

- Leading improvement efforts of Moog's Part Risk Assessment (PRA) tool to support Design Risk Analysis where DFMEA is not available.

- Develop and Implement standardized Supplier Development processes and tools that can be utilized by Moog's global Supplier Development Engineers.

- Oversee & Maintain Moog's PPAP CARe Certification program.

- Drive continuous improvement of Moog's Supplier Quality systems to ensure sufficient supplier capabilities.

- Support Supplier Quality Communities of Practice.

- Performs other duties as assigned.

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in a technical field related to Quality Management, Engineering, or relevant field.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supplier Development, or equivalent practical area.

  • Proven experience in Advanced Product Quality Planning, including familiarity with the AESQ Advanced Product Quality Planning and Control Plans, FMEAs, PPAPs, MSAs, Statistical Process Control (SPC) standards and Zero-defect approach.

  • Broad knowledge of manufacturing & Inspection.

  • Strong Knowledge of Quality Assurance Processes & Standards (ex. AS9100).

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $89,000.00-$125,000.00 Annually

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
