Psych Emergency Clinician Supv

Inova Center for Personal Health is looking for a dedicated Psychiatric Emergency Clinician Supervisor to join the team. This role will be full-time night shift Thurs- Sat (3 x 12 hour shifts 5:00 p.m.- 5:30 a.m.)

Psychiatric Emergency Clinician Supervisor Job Responsibilities:

• Provides psychiatric consults to patients who present to the Emergency department onsite at Fairfax ER, via telepsych at other Inova ERs or Urgent Care facilities, or at IPAC walk in clinic.
• Maintains therapeutic milieu to provide safe environment for crisis stabilization.
• Provides direct/indirect clinical supervision to central access clinicians to enhance their individual clinical skills and the quality of services to patients. Develops goals and managing fiscal activities of the department.
• Responsible for oversight of daily operations related to clinical evaluations and administrative functions, procedures and protocols.
• Supervises administrative operations including scheduling/registration, and direct patient care.
• Works collaboratively with physicians, therapists and other team members of the behavioral health team to effect timely, appropriate patient care management. Collaborates with other department leaders, providers and team members with in Inova, and external agencies to help support the care and disposition of patients.

Additional Requirements:

• Work schedule: Thurs- Sat (3 x 12 hour shifts 5:00 p.m.- 5:30 a.m.) This position requires rotation shifts working at Inova Fairfax main Hospital also.
• Education: Master's Degree, Ph.D., PsyD, EdD in Mental Health, Social Work, Counseling, Substance Use Disorders or Behavioral Health related field.
• Experience: 5 years of experience, 3 of which are post licensure, working in the psychiatric or mental health field with the seriously mentally ill
• Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association. Crisis Prevention Institute Within 6 Months CPI in-person training for non-violent crisis intervention, receive CPI blue card within 6 months of hire.
• Licensure: Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP), or Licensed Substance Abuse Professional (LSATP).
