Clariant is currently looking for a Maintenance Field Supervisor to support the Care Chemicals business unit in Clear Lake, TX. This position will oversee and coordinate maintenance activities at the production facility. This role ensures timely, safe, and effective maintenance execution to support production operations. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in chemical manufacturing, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to lead a team effectively. They should be a proactive problem-solver with the capacity to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic production setting. This position is a full time, onsite opportunity. Responsibilities
* Assign scheduled maintenance work orders to technicians based on priority and skill sets
* Collaborate with the planner/scheduler and operations shift supervisor to execute work plans on schedule
* Assess and organize responses to emergency work notifications for equipment failures that impact safety or halt production
* Ensure maintenance technicians are trained and qualified for tools and equipment used on-site
* Monitor and enforce adherence to site work practices and safety standards
* Request and organize rental equipment for site maintenance activities
* Track and record maintenance activities using SAP
* Provide input on planning work and on-site projects using technical expertise
* Interact with external contractors performing regular maintenance or specialty tasks
* Cover for planner/scheduler during absences
Requirements
* High school diploma required
* Certification or experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
* Minimum 10 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing environment
* Exposure to SAP for tracking and recording maintenance activities
* NCCER Level 4 assessment in a craft maintenance skill
* Demonstrated comprehensive technical knowledge of maintenance processes
* Strong safety awareness and consistent adherence to safety standards
* Effective communication skills and professional behavior
