About Facilities Management:At JLL, facilities management is a core service offered to clients. JLL's facilities management team takes a holistic approach to managing buildings and facilities, focusing on delivering exceptional service, driving efficiency, and improving the overall occupant experience. JLL leverages its industry-leading technology and expertise to provide comprehensive solutions, including preventive and reactive maintenance, space planning and optimization, energy management, vendor management, sustainability initiatives, and workplace safety. By combining their knowledge of industry best practices with client-specific goals and requirements, JLL's facilities management team strives to create value, reduce costs, and enhance the operational performance of the facilities they manage. What the job involves: We are currently seeking an Intern in Facilities Management join our team. As an intern at JLL, you would work as part of our Facilities team at a client site, getting involved in providing service to customers, and designing how we can improve that service with new ideas, tools or processes. As an Intern in Facilities Management at JLL, you will: Support the onsite facilities operations team on a day to day basis. Assist with promoting safety culture through consistent observations of operations and provide feedback as needed. Creating or editing documents for internal team communications Updating the team SharePoint page to improve visibility and understanding of current deliverables. Develop dashboards and work with operational teams to develop and refine use cases supporting from schedule to demand-based services using data from systems. Spearhead the development of an Operations playbook pulling from multiple stakeholders across the account and/or existing documentation. Assist with vendor management, work order management, and client relationship management as needed. Develop relationships with key stakeholders to effectively document processes. Assist with daily operational tasks including but not limited to the CMMS, vendor coordination, and audits as needed. Program Details Dates:June 2, 2025 - August 8, 2025 Location:Portland, OR with weekly travel required to Vancouver, WA. *Reliable transportation required for this role Federal background check required and takes approximately 2-3 months to complete. This will require an approximatel 3-hour commitment will be required during onboarding process Education, Skills, and Experience Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree, with 2-3 years completed majoring in any field, Engineering and/or Business preferred but not required. Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to think and work independently Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications Ability to work with multiple people on a variety of differing projects and meet assigned deadlines Desire to learn more about our industry Interest in property management and/or facilities management Demonstrated ability to take initiative The ideal candidate should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of Integrated Facilities Management with a strong focus on engineering. We do not offer relocation assistance or housing for our internship program. Permanent US work authorization required.
