DCS develops Army Robotics Common Software (ARCS), which is the Ground Vehicle Systems Center's (GVSC) library of modular software package that can be used for common ground autonomy software. The United States Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC), located in Warren, Michigan, is the United States Armed Forces' research and development facility for advanced technology in ground systems. GVSC is dedicated to getting robotics capability into the hands of Soldiers.

Essential Job Functions:

Drive and lead architecture changes for autonomous ground vehicle autonomy software (ARCS).

Follow and improve ARCS architecture guidelines which are rooted in Army's Modular Open Systems Architecture (MOSA) approach.

Collaborate with development team to review, design architectural changes.

Follow MBSE implementation standards for architecture.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Must obtain Secret clearance.

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, related engineering or applied science field.

At least 5 years of experience implementing software using proper design guidelines.

Show proficiency either in C++ and/or ROS.

Willing to implement architecture changes using SysML.

Basic knowledge of vehicle controls, sensors, autonomous systems and functional safety.

Desired Skills:

Experience in Robotics, autonomous systems.

Experience with understanding of behavior, planning and motion control of a robotic system.

Experience working in ROS.

Experience with MBSE, model-based development using SysML, UML tools.
