Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma- Owasso, OK Monday-Friday 1430-2300 Essential Functions of Employment with DLO: * Show up for work, on time & prepared each and every scheduled work day * Perform all tasks and processes assigned to you including all tasks and processes you are fully qualified to perform and all tasks and processing that you may be over-qualified to perform * Maintain a positive and supportive attitude throughout each and every scheduled work day & work as a collaborative team member with your fellow teammates on a daily basis Main Duties: Perform tests in blood bank, chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, serology, coagulation, and microbiology. Assist with specimen processing as needed. Follow employer policies; work with fellow employees in a professional and productive manner; perform QC with appropriate follow-up action and instrument troubleshooting as needed. Must be able to work alone without immediate supervision. Additional duties as assigned. Required Knowledge: A solid understanding of basic knowledge associated with clinical laboratory testing, including QA/QC is required for this position. A successful candidate must possess good computer skills and be able to adapt to multiple computer systems. The candidate should be able to take instruction form a variety of sources without adversity.
Required Experience: 1 year previous clinical laboratory experience preferred. Special Requirements: Ability to maintain a professional, courteous and pleasant attitude in times of heavy workload and stress. Reflect the company's values in all aspects of performance. Teamwork with fellow employees is a must. Keyboard skills are important. Good customer service skills, professional appearance and attitude are required. Weekend Rotation required. Be willing to work other shifts as needed.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- The normal performance of duties may require lifting and carrying objects: Objects 1 to 10 pounds are lifted and carried frequently; objects 11 to 25 pounds are lifted and carried occasionally; objects 36 to 50 pounds are seldom lifted or carried and objects over 50 pounds are not to be lifted or carried without assistance.
- Ability to stand and work at the bench for long periods of time.
- Frequent walking and/or standing.
- May be required to use a wide variety of manual and automated pipettes and laboratory instruments and apparatuses all of which demand significant manual dexterity.
