Compensation Grade: P20Compensation Details: Minimum: $70,795.00 - Maximum: $70,795.00 AnnuallyDepartment (OPCHSM) Office of Primary Care Health Systems ManagementJob Description: Responsibilities The Evaluation Specialist II will perform database management activities and statistical analyses and evaluation of data for surveillance and research projects; provide technical assistance on creating health care facility maps; perform ad hoc data analyses; and perform other appropriate related duties. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of experience in the evaluation and/or analysis of health, human services or related programs and/or fields; OR an Associate's degree in a related field and four years of such experience; OR six years of such experience. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of such experience. Preferred Qualifications A Master's degree in Public Health, Computer Science, Epidemiology, Statistics or a related field. Experience in data management, analysis and reports generation using SAS, R, GIS and/or other analytical and data management tools; experience with processing and analyzing large data sets such as Institutional Cost Reports, HFIS, SPARCS, etc., particularly those involving health care markets, services and population demographics; strong analytical and communication (both written and verbal) skills with the experience presenting data to interested parties with varying technical backgrounds; experience with conducting program evaluation research in public health. Conditions of Employment Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required. Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Travel, up to 10% of the time, may be required. The selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location specified in the job posting and must also be located in or willing to relocate to one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts, prior to hire.
