We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fiber Laser Technician to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be responsible for the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of fiber laser systems. Your expertise will contribute to the development and improvement of our cutting-edge laser technologies.


Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and integrate fiber laser components, including optical fibers, laser diodes, discrete optical component, and other related parts.
  • Ensure proper alignment and coupling of optical systems to achieve optimal performance.
  • Use precision tools and equipment to handle delicate components without causing damage.
  • Follow assembly instructions and technical drawings to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Conduct thorough testing and calibration of fiber laser systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Use diagnostic tools and measurement instruments to assess laser output, beam quality, and other performance parameters.
  • Record and analyze test data to identify trends and potential areas for improvement.
  • Perform laser system tuning and adjustments to meet specified performance criteria.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues with fiber lasers, identifying faulty components and implementing effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineering and technical support teams to develop and implement corrective actions.
  • Perform final inspections and quality checks on completed laser systems.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working with fiber laser equipment and materials.

Requirements

  • Technical school graduate or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant certifications are a plus, such as Certified Laser Safety Officer (CLSO) or certifications from organizations like the Laser Institute of America (LIA).
  • Experience with high-power laser systems and cleanroom procedures is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, measuring instruments, and software relevant to fiber laser technology.
  • Familiarity with optical alignment techniques, and fiber splicing.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Attention to detail and precision in technical tasks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and document processes clearly.
  • Ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and methodologies in a fast-paced environment.
