Project Manager The Project Manager plans work assignments that meet deadline requirements while considering changes in budget or scope during the execution of the contract.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Drive project execution from pre-construction to post-construction under the direction of the COO and President.
- Oversee term contract projects, prepare take-offs for change order requests, and administer current and future GC and term contracts.
- Coordinate regularly with Operations Managers to review and plan project activities, progress updates, and two- week look-aheads.
- Monitor awarded projects to plan labor (employees and subcontractors) and equipment needs for scheduling.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets both customer and company standards.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers while developing in-depth knowledge of Finley's services, pricing structure, and contract management.
- Follow up with the customer after the project has been completed.
- Utilize the company's proposal management system to document activities, develop prospective customer profiles, and manage term unit contract formats.
- Review subcontractor proposals, scopes of work, contracts, and performance.
- Develop a thorough understanding of contract documents and job profitability to align with company.
- Support the estimating team by reviewing and interpreting project plans and specifications.
- Promote job site safety by enforcing safety best practices, addressing hazards, and ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental, and OSHA regulations.
- Attend and participate in project-related and company meetings, including pre-construction, construction, task, safety, and staff meetings.
- Represent the company at industry events, trainings, workshops, business development sessions, and technical planning meetings locally and out of town, as needed.
- Assist office staff with invoicing completed projects and collection of payments, if required.
Qualifications (Experience, Education & Certifications, Key Attributes):
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience in construction or a related field preferred.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Outlook.
