Description

Job Summary: The Administrative Assistant is responsible for timely and accurate shipments. Verifies and keeps records of all assigned incoming and outgoing freight.

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8 AM to 4:30 PM

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Check-in trucks arriving to pick up scheduled loads from the cheese and whey warehouses, communicate with appropriate warehouse for dock assignments, direct drivers to dock and provide them with loading/unloading instructions.
  • Confirm product loaded matches product dispatched, notify office of variance.
  • Create shipping documents for drivers, including bills of lading and COA's, assign truck seal and record, attach copy to loading sheet.
  • Scan documents to E drive.
  • Provide warehouse team with loading schedule each day.
  • Must report all food safety and other quality problems to immediate supervisor or their designated replacement.
  • UPS and FedEx shipping and receiving, notify recipients of packages received.
  • Other duties as assigned.


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:



  • Good arithmetic and reading skills generally acquired from receiving a high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Must be able to learn the system.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and telephone communication skills.


WORKING CONDITIONS:



  • Office environment in a manufacturing facility.
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.
  • May require long periods of time seated at a computer workstation.


Compensation and Benefits:



  • Starting pay $19.00 per hour with increases available in the first year bringing the wage up to $20.00 per hour.
