Job Description

The Commercial Lending Administrator is responsible for working with Lead Lenders to ensure that all documentation necessary for a complete loan file is collected. The Commercial Lending Administrator will work closely with the Director of Operations and Participation Services to ensure that all loan monitoring is completed in a timely manner, including regular follow-up on delinquent items. In addition, the Commercial Lending Administrator will conduct an intake of all new loan underwriting requests to ensure the credit analysts have all necessary information to complete an underwriting on the loan file.

Major Duties & Responsibilities



  • Set up new commercial loans in the tracking system, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Monitor loans for upcoming, current and delinquent ticklers.
  • Maintain and update borrower information and collateral records in the loan tracking system.
  • Work with Director of Operations & Participation Service to handle requests for loan modifications, and other loan participation issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure that all loan documentation, processes, and servicing actions comply with regulatory requirements, including state and federal regulations.
  • Prepare and submit periodic reports for management and partner credit unions.
  • Work closely with VP of Credit to ensure that the credit underwriting queue is current and updated as needed.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of business and personal federal tax returns to ensure that complete documents are received for loan underwriting.
  • Work closely with partner credit union staff to ensure that all documentation necessary for commercial loan underwriting and analysis is received prior to loan placement in underwriting queue.
  • Provide loan information and support to loan officers, underwriters, and other departments.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline loan servicing processes and recommend improvements.
  • Work with management to implement and regularly update corporate social media presence.
  • May provide customer service, administrative support and inter/intra office communication support for the CUSO.
  • Provides administrative support to CUSO President and other management members including sending emails, creating documentation, and any other administrative tasks.
  • Builds and maintains a network of liaisons for each lead lender client.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with lead lenders and clients by maintaining regular contact with key personnel.

Experience and Skills

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Some college coursework is preferred.

Experience: Three (3) years' general work experience and two (2) years' experience in commercial lending or member business loan administration in a financial institution.

Skills: Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously. Ability to develop and present formal material to all levels of the organization. Ability to manage time well and accomplish tasks with little or no direct supervision. Proficiency with Word and Excel required. Proficiency with maintaining social media accounts (LinkedIn). Exceptional attention to detail required.

Location: Remote opportunities in the following states ONLY: MD & DC (Minimum $60,168.77 - $90,253.15), VA, CT, FL, IL, LA, MA, NC, SC, TX, New York, NY (Minimum $59,224.95 - Maximum $88,837.42) and Seattle, WA (Minimum $61,584.51 - Maximum $92,376.76)
