Do you enjoy cleaning? We are looking for a motivated Housekeeper I to join our great team!

Schedule: Weekdays: Shift times fall between 3 P.M. - 11 P.M.,

Weekends/Holidays rotating




  • Position Summary:

    • The Housekeeper I performs a wide range of housekeeping duties to maintain a safe, neat and clean environment.


  • Job Relationships:

    • Reports to Director of Environmental Services and Assistant Director of Housekeeping. Also collaborates with other coworkers, departments, and staff at RAMC/RASLC.




  • Experience:

    • Prior housekeeping experience helpful.




  • Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Good verbal/written communication skills.
    • Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed and involved written or oral instructions.
    • Ability to be a team player.
    • Ability to plan, organize and develop priorities.
    • Ability to work self-supervised.




  • Physical Requirements:

    • Physical Demands:

      • Continuously walks to perform tasks.
      • Frequently stands to perform tasks.
      • Frequently requires lifting up to 25 pounds.
      • Occasionally requires lifting up to 50 pounds.
      • Continuously requires pushing up to 10 pounds when moving carts and other equipment.
      • Frequently requires pushing up to 25 pounds when pushing trash cart and other equipment.
      • Frequently requires carrying up to 10 pounds when carrying housekeeping supplies.
      • Occasionally requires climbing stairs/ladders/ramps to replace cubicle curtains.
      • Frequently requires bending below knee and to knee, kneeling, crouching and squatting to clean beds and baseboards, twisting, and reaching overhead for light fixtures.
      • Occasionally requires handling objects and using tasting and smelling.

        • Cognition/Communication:

          • Frequently required to communicate with other staff, volunteers, patients, and visitors using ordinary hearing skills, comprehensive speech, and occasional use of simple reading, writing and math skills.


        • Potential Hazards:

          • OSHA Blood Borne/TB Classification Class II - Occupational exposure to blood and Other Potentially Infectious Materials (OPIMs) is reasonably expected to occur in routine performance of duties.
          • Continuously exposed to needles/syringes/sharps, waste handling (general trash) and red infectious waste.
          • Frequently exposed to toxic/caustic chemical hazards & hazardous waste.


        • Psychological, Situational, Functional Factors:

          • Continuously use flexibility to perform job function, interpersonal skills sufficient to work closely with others.
          • Continuously use speed, consistency, and accuracy.
          • Occasionally work alone effectively under stressful situations
