DSA is looking for a Business Analyst to work remotely for the State of Maryland, Department of Legislative Services. This position is currently REMOTE but could change within the contract with notice. This project would provide an excellent opportunity to be trained in the use of BIDS Software platform, which is a Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) product and the Microsoft development range of tools such as SSRS (Reports, Dashboards using Power BI), SSIS (Interface), SSAS (develop ad-hoc Reports from MS Analysis Services cube), Microsoft Azure DevOps for Source Code and use of pipeline for automated deployment.
Requirements Include:
- US Citizenship
- Bachelor's degree in technical discipline (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science, Business Information Technology, etc.)
- 3+ years working on IT projects.
This role is a junior level and duties will include but not limited to:
Business Analyst will be involved in design documentation, requirements gathering and analyzing existing business process and systems. He/she will have a broad knowledge of Budgeting, software development life cycle and will be highly adaptable in quickly changing technical environments with very strong organizational and analytical skills.
It would also enable the team members gain expertise in Government Financial Management applications.
