The Cardiac Surgical Stepdown unit is in search of a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) per diem.
Ellison 8, is a thirty six bed adult Cardiac Surgical Step Down Unit., located in Boston, MA. Patients are primarily admitted post operatively from the Blake 8 - Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit. Patients are also admitted pre-op for cardiac surgery. Common diagnoses include coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, aortic disease, congenital heart disease, lethal arrhythmias, S/P coronary bypass graft, S/P valve replacement, ACID placement, and permanent pacemaker placement. Why This Role Is Important? The PCA plays a crucial role in providing exceptional care to our patients in the Medical Unit. As a member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will assist in clinical support functions to promote a safe and compassionate patient care environment. Your contributions will directly impact the lives of patients and their families during critical moments of their healthcare journey. Our dedicated team works on a rotational holiday and weekend schedule, providing 36-40 hours of coverage per week. This allows for a balanced work-life schedule and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care. What are we looking for? Required: Must haverecent experience,and/ortraining,in clinical patient care.
