Under supervision, the Psychiatry Research Program Manager will provide professional expertise, project planning, and administrative coordination in the execution and administration of departmental strategic research initiatives as defined by department senior leadership within the Department of Psychiatry. Reporting to the Vice Chairs of Research (Basic and Clinical) and the Administrative Vice Chair, this position will perform comprehensive analysis and reporting on departmental research productivity, including proposals submitted, awards, renewals, publications/h-indices, extra-departmental collaborations, and current-state strengths and growth trends in research area. Additionally, they will track data on individual Principal Investigator (PI) award funding and report on the relative financial and programmatic health and trajectory of PI portfolios. They will provide project management expertise in the planning, deployment, monitoring and reporting on strategic research initiatives. They will support with planning and coordination of research faculty meetings, investigate and communicate about opportunities for research-related professional development, and support the department's Marketing and Communications Manager with all items related to departmental research activity. Under the direction of the Vice Chairs of Research, this position will also support individual faculty and faculty research affinity groups by providing comprehensive proposal development services to small and large research teams, including but not limited to complex center grant proposals. They will obtain competitive intelligence on funding programs, facilitate PI collaboration, and organize internal and external reviews of proposals. They will offer grant writing services and manuscript preparation, participating in writing, editing, proof-reading, and formatting of grant proposals for peer review. Assist with other project and miscellaneous duties as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $85,400 - $156,800 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $40.90 - $75.10 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). |
