Working under direct supervision, incumbent performs routine to complex magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures for diagnostic purposes in accordance with established guidelines and MRI protocols. Requires advanced knowledge of magnetic resonance imaging. Acts as a MRI subject matter expert and assists other technicians as needed. Demonstrates and applies knowledge of principles of MRI safety. Prepares and positions patient for procedure by using established MRI protocols to achieve the highest quality image. Follows protocols specified by the Radiologist or PI. Administers contrast media per protocol. Educates patient, collects patient history, communicates patient information to the Radiologist, and prepares patient for procedure. Enters complex data into the computer system. Reviews, verifies and evaluates images to ensure technical quality and image quality. Troubleshoots and resolves MRI-related PACS issues. Operates varied types of equipment, recognizing normal and pathological conditions. Performs other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $121,355 - $150,816 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $58.12 - $72.23 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). |
