Overview

The Business Operations Manager is a dynamic leadership role focused on driving organizational alignment, operational efficiency, and strategic execution. This role involves overseeing and managing high-impact initiatives, ensuring seamless cross-functional collaboration, and optimizing workflows across all departments.

The Business Operations Manager will act as a key figure in coordinating strategic priorities, managing projects, and providing actionable insights that support the organization's goals. This position is designed for a leader with exceptional project management skills, operational expertise, and the ability to deliver measurable business outcomes.

    Location: Maryland - In Office (not hybrid or remote).
  • Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (minimum), Monday to Friday.
  • Travel: Yes (5-10%).
  • Salary Range: $130,000-145,000/year


Responsibilities

Initiative Management & Execution

  • Lead the planning, execution, and tracking of organizational initiatives to ensure delivery on time and within budget.
  • Define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders across the company.
  • Regularly evaluate the progress of initiatives, providing feedback and implementing adjustments to address challenges or risks.

Strategic Collaboration

  • Align departmental activities with organizational goals by fostering collaboration between teams.
  • Serve as a liaison to ensure consistent communication, remove silos, and promote transparency across departments.
  • Develop frameworks for cross-functional partnerships to address complex challenges and drive efficiency.

Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting mechanisms to provide insights into operational and strategic performance.
  • Analyze key performance metrics to identify trends, uncover opportunities, and present actionable recommendations.
  • Use data analysis to prioritize resources and projects, ensuring alignment with the organization's long-term objectives.

Project Oversight

  • Establish robust project management practices, including timelines, milestones, and quality checks, to drive organizational success.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks, ensuring projects are delivered on time and meets performance standards.
  • Regularly communicate project progress, roadblocks, and outcomes to senior leadership and key stakeholders.

Operational Efficiency

  • Identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement within operational workflows, recommending process enhancements.
  • Standardize and document procedures to increase scalability and consistency across the organization.
  • Lead initiatives to adopt new technologies or tools that streamline operations and enhance productivity.

Leadership Support

  • Champion a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement across all levels of the organization.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members and stakeholders involved in strategic initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with leadership and department heads to ensure alignment and shared ownership of outcomes.


Qualifications

Education

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field is encouraged, though equivalent professional experience will be considered.

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in business operations, project management, strategic leadership roles, or relevant work.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large-scale, cross-functional projects.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Asana, Monday.com, MS Project).
  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and Excel.
