Basic Function

The quality manager will champion, support and/or lead quality improvement initiatives. The quality manager monitors and advises on how the system is performing, which may often include the publication of statistics regarding company performance against set measures. They must develop internal processes necessary to maintain all certification such as IATF/ISO. A key role of the quality manager is that of ensuring that customer requirements and expectations have been accurately identified and that the organization is meeting or exceeding customer expectations. This role may also extend to determining how customers' expectations will change over time and what the organization needs to do to meet these changing expectations. Additionally, they will be responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of a customer-focused culture within the organization. The quality manager will also probably be involved in developing the quality goals and targets in the organization's strategic plan. Knowledge of statistics is required with general numeracy, coupled with good interpersonal skills. The job function covers all aspects of a work group's or company's operation and requires the ability to assimilate and analyze information. #LI-RH1

Roles & Responsibilities

* Ensure that the components of the Quality System are in place, maintained and effective.

* Provide leadership in the areas of Quality Tools, Methods & Strategies.

* Serve as a liaison with customers in the area of Quality.

* Drive the nonconformance process.

* Disposition of nonconforming materials.

* Credit authorization for non-conforming product at a Compound customer's location. (small to moderate $ impact)

* Identify improvement opportunities and provide leadership to implement recommended improvements by working with other site employees, between sites, and with other groups in the organization

* Coordinate and manage customer visits/audits

* Coordinate and manage responses to customer surveys, complaints, and inquiries

* Perform initial investigations into customer complaints.

* Work with the corporate quality personnel and other site quality leads to implement corporate quality objectives and changes to the system

* Provide Leadership to the Site Quality Teams

* Supervise the quality lab technicians that support the manufacturing operation

* Work with other First Line Supervisors at the facility to solve common issues and improve workforce engagement

* All other duties not specifically assigned.

Min. Qualifications

* High School/GED required, Bachelor's degree preferred

* Experience in ISO and IATF Certification.

* Five plus years' experience in a Manager's role including supervisory experience

* Certified Quality Engr or Six Sigma BB, Statistical training, Quality Tools (FMEA, PPAP, APQP), Corrective Action Tools,

* Excellent Computer Skills (Excel, Word, Statistical), SPC, Capability Studies, DOEs, Regression Analysis, Graphical Analysis, Gage R&R, Measurement System Analysis

* Candidate must have strong leadership skills including effective communications, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all departments and level of the organization
