Essential Functions

  • Learning Intermediate Tool Proficiencies - including safe and proficient operation of lifts, meters, welders, power and hand tools
  • Learning Advanced Electrical - ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and components, knowledge of electrical safe work practices, ability to read and understand electrical schematics, ability to troubleshoot relay logic circuits
  • Learning Advanced Control Circuits - ability to troubleshoot motor control circuits, understanding of PLC/CNC systems and their components and programming, proficiency with ladder logic and human machine interfaces
  • Learning Mechanical Systems - tooling and fixturing systems design, understanding of mechanical power transfer systems and components, ability to read and comprehend drawings and schematics
  • Learning Intermediate Fluid Power Systems - hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components, understanding of fluid power schematics
  • Learning the National Electric Code - understanding of the code as it pertains to industrial installations and design
  • Learning Intermediate Robotics - jogging, troubleshooting, and repair of robotic systems, knowledgeable about programs and touchup, understanding of stepper motor basics
  • Learning Basic Facilities Maintenance - Understanding of sheet metal work, carpentry, compressor systems, HVAC systems, building structure, and plumbing

Supervisory Responsibility

This role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active - while performing this job the team member is regularly standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, balancing, reaching, handling, and climbing all day. The team member may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

In addition, the team member may be exposed to dust, fumes, gases, noise, heat, cold, and wet work while performing job duties. This position requires Personal Protective Equipment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time hourly position, and hours of work and days are based upon the need to support operations and production. Some Saturdays will be mandatory. School hours will be based upon availability of classes. Coordinators will work to adjust work schedules to school schedules on an as needed basis.

Travel

Some local travel will be required. Further travel may be recommended for additional training opportunities.

Required Education and Experience

  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. Must successfully complete LCI new hire safety training and refreshers
  3. Must be able to successfully pass the LCI OSHA approved forklift-training course
  4. Must successfully complete LCI Lock Out Tag Out Training
  5. Must successfully complete LCI Arc Flash/Electrical Hazard Training
  6. Must successfully complete LCI Fall Hazard Training, as required
  7. Must successfully complete LCI Confined Space Training, as required
  8. Must successfully complete all LCI lean training, as required
  9. Must successfully complete LCI Tabware Technician Training
  10. Current LCI employees must be in good standing in attendance and Core Values

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Basic Construction - Experience with electrical, plumbing, concrete, painting, dry wall, and framing work tasks
  • Hand and Power tools - Experience completing tasks using hand and power tools
  • Repair - Education/Experience with machine operation and repair
  • Bi-Lingual - Spanish to English or English to Spanish experience

Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Must supply, or make reliable arrangements to access, personal computer with network access to complete schooling requirements. Must provide transport to and from school and work.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
