TSC's Product Solutions (PS) division is currently seeking a Product Owner in Huntsville, AL, with an educational and/or industry focus in the processes and procedures to own the strategic direction of advanced RF-based fuze sensors or SIGINT/EW-based payloads for unmanned systems through the entire product lifecycle. TSC's PS division is responsible for the development and delivery of TSC's government and commercial products throughout the lifecycles of Research and Development (R&D), Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD), Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP), and Full Rate Production (FRP)

Responsibilities:

This position requires a flexible individual with experience in managing RF-based technologies such as proximity, height-of-burst (HOB), unmanned RF payloads, or seeker sensors spanning both development and manufacturing for missile, rocket, UxS, and/or gun-launched munition platforms. The individual in this position works with customers, business development, engineering, finance, and production teams to own the overall strategy and roadmap of the product line they oversee. This position requires an individual familiar with all phases of product development and deployment to include changing requirements, hardware, software, and mechanical integration dependencies, field testing, and configuration management.

  • As the strategy owner provides approval on the overall direction of the product line to ensure alignment to TSC's priorities, goals, and vision
  • Creates and owns the business case
  • Develops or contributes to the BD/Capture strategy, as well as the technical tasking roadmap
  • Considered the business lead on the product family reporting to the P&L lead/Division Manager
  • Final decision maker on priority calls for resourcing, tasking, etc. when conflicts arise across concurrent efforts
  • Included as a key stakeholder in all proposal development, kickoffs, PMRs, and other technical reviews that impact/leverage the product line.
  • Work with the product manager and product team to execute projects and deliveries of the product
  • Assist in developing and managing yearly product line budgets in support of product line improvements
  • Assist in developing and maintaining product pricing to include all supporting documentation
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and maintain product roadmaps
  • Lead by example in creating and executing product management processes and methodologies

Required Qualifications:

  • BS in engineering field and minimum of 15 years of experience in DoD, IC, or industry
  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET DoD Clearance
  • Experience owning a business unit, P&L, or product line
  • Demonstrated technical and programmatic leadership and subject matter expertise

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with radar. SIGINT, EW, proximity/HOB, or seeker fuze technologies in a product development environment
  • Experience working with or as an end user of the subject areas noted above
  • Experience with field testing in austere locations
  • Experience working in DoD, IC, and commercial industry
  • Experience supporting production numbers >100 units per year
  • Experience developing and improving product managements processes
  • Possess excellent organizational and communications skills
  • Able to prioritize work and maximize productivity
