About the Role

The Lead Technician will play a pivotal role in overseeing technical operations at customer sites. This includes the supervision of installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and support, as well as leading and mentoring a team of technicians. The successful candidate will have a mix of strong technical expertise and leadership abilities, ensuring that team members adhere to best practices while maintaining Watlow's standards of excellence. As a lead, you will foster a positive work environment, provide guidance and training, and ensure the smooth and effective operation of equipment installations and technical support.

Your Key Responsibilities



  • Lead and supervise a team of technicians in troubleshooting, installations, maintenance, and equipment start-up at customer sites.
  • Provide direction and support in diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
  • Act as the point of contact for technical inquiries and route issues to the appropriate department.
  • Assist with advanced troubleshooting and resolve complex product-related issues.
  • Conduct technical training and mentoring of junior technicians to improve team competency.
  • Ensure that all installations and maintenance tasks are completed in accordance with Watlow's procedures and quality standards.
  • Use businss tools effectively, including Microsoft Office and internal systems.
  • Engage in process improvements and identify areas for operational enhancements.
  • Actively participate in developing and refining team and technical performance metrics.
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service and ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Model Watlow Way (WW) behaviors, principles, and values, fostering a culture of teamwork, respect, and enthusiasm.
  • Perform other related duties as required.



Services and Expertise:



  • Troubleshoot complex technical problems and lead root cause analysis.
  • Perform routine and non-routine maintenance and repairs on systems and equipment.
  • Lead equipment testing and validation to ensure optimal performance.
  • Coordinate and perform product installations, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Collect and analyze data to validate corrective actions and continuous improvements.
  • Supervise and perform the operation of advanced equipment.
  • Required Qualifications

  • Preferred Two-year degree or Technical Certificate or related experience (1-5 years
