Position Summary

The Facilities Operations Manager will oversee all facets of the daily operations of the buildings, warehouses and storage facilities, grounds, company vehicles, parking, maintenance, and facilities operations staff. The facilities operations team is responsible for all issues concerning maintenance, safety, cleanliness, and productivity while providing a positive experience for staff and guests. This position is responsible for facilities support of all corporate activities and all program operations.

Essential Job Functions



  • Develop and maintain systems for continuous improvement in processes, maintenance or activities related to the facilities and grounds
  • Develop, build and maintain relationships with landlords, contractors and suppliers
  • Coordinate and maintain accountability for costs, quality and scheduled performance of all facilities maintenance and repair activities.
  • Develop and implement safety and security policies and procedures, ensure properties are secure, detect and take proper action regarding unauthorized or inappropriate activities
  • Maintain familiarity with location and use of on-site emergency procedures, first aid supplies and equipment until other emergency assistance can arrive if necessary
  • Conduct and oversee safety drills for employees and guests; inspect the facilities for hazardous or unsafe conditions; monitor cleanliness and equipment condition
  • Supervise facilities operations staff members
  • Utilize incident reporting system to respond, record and communicate emergencies with Director, COO/CFO and appropriate Executive Team Members; report any accidents, injuries, unusual incidents or safety concerns as soon as possible
  • Respond to guest and staff feedback with urgency and provide follow-up communication with solutions
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education/Training



  • Bachelor's degree, preferred
  • Will consider 4+ years work experience in a field relative to the position in lieu of degree


Experience



  • Minimum five years of experience with operations and/or building management, required
  • Minimum two years of management experience, required
  • Prior experience in safety and/or security, preferred


Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities



  • Must be able to work extended hours and some weekends, as needed including first contact of emergency situations including security and fire alarms, etc.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly
  • Ability to make well-thought decisions with information available at the moment
  • Ability to lift heavy items throughout the facilities
  • Drivers license required and acceptable driving record upon review
  • CPR certification required within first 30 days of hire and certification required to be maintained annually
  • Forklift operator certification require within first 30 days of hire
