Global Power Components is a privately held, growing manufacturer of heavy gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures and modular metal enclosures for housing fully equipped electrical distribution and control equipment.
In 2018 we moved operations into a newly renovated 300,000 sq. foot facility that will foster our continued growth, as we continue to be recognized as the undisputed leaders in our industry.
As a result of continued growth, we are seeking an Electrical Project Coordinator to work with Electrical Engineering, Production Supervisors, Team Leads and our Logistics department to ensure timely completion of enclosures.

Responsibilities: (what you will be doing)


  • Review RFM (Request for Material) and RFI (Request for Information) from production floor. Process independently if possible or reroute to the appropriate person.

  • Monitor and report project statuses. Proactively reduce RFM's and RFI's.

  • Coordinate material price and availability with design and purchasing teams.

  • Be an extension of the purchasing team in electrical group.

  • Monitor and analyze inventory parts.

  • Coordinate with design engineers to retrieve relevant electrical information.

  • Coordinate with warehouse/production to ensure job materials are staged.

  • Track and fulfill missing electrical materials post-shipment.


Skills Required: (what it takes to be successful)


  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Interface with vendors; RFQ (Request for Quote) process.

  • Organizational skills: self-management and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

  • 2-4 years education in electrical technology, construction management, business management, project management, or related STEM field. (Or equivalent experience)


Skills Preferred:


  • Experience with ERP system; Epicor or similar.

  • Familiarity with electrical products (conduit, wire, cable, fittings etc.) - OR willing to learn

  • Familiarity with NEC (National Electric Code) OR willing to learn
