Description

The Systems & Solutions Analyst II will use analytical, technical, organizational skills, and experience to facilitate the identification, design and implementation of systems solutions for a department or functional unit. The Systems & Solutions Analyst II will also ensure that the technical solution being implemented will satisfy the needs of the business.

Essential Duties:

Responsible for providing technical support for a vast array of software applications and interfaces and maintaining a stable computing environment by performing the following duties:



  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level application support for all packaged business applications.
  • Meet with Solutions & Support Manager to understand project scope, system goals, and requirements.
  • Works with Business Solutions Analysts I & II to develop solution for preparing and evaluating alternative workflow solutions.
  • Assist with application administration tasks such as: application security and performance tuning and monitoring.
  • Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot core business applications, including application servers, associated hardware, endpoints, and databases.
  • Assist in maintaining applications for optimal performance.
  • Perform the set-up and configuration of systems.
  • Perform implementation and upgrades of information systems to meet the business and user needs.
  • Define and coordinate the execution of testing procedures, and develop test cases to serve the overall quality assurance process.
  • Support Citrix and business applications.
  • Research technical issues using sources such as error logs and product documentation to identify solutions to resolve problems and improve performance.
  • Work with application vendors, in-house technical team and network engineers to troubleshoot and coordinate issue resolution.
  • Tracking progress and escalating as appropriate unless resolution reached.
  • Ensure continuity and quality by owning the resolution of issues across platforms.
  • Review, test and implement application updates (new releases, product changes, service packs, and critical fixes).
  • In-depth understanding of the business processes supported by departmental systems.
  • Contributing to process development and best practice. Looking at new ways to improve resilience, performance levels and supportability.
  • Provide documentation of all processes.
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
