The Harley-Davidson Motor Company Product Development Center (PDC) located in Wauwatosa, WI is home to the mantra - You dream it. We build it. Join our team as a Manager, Supply Chain Operations (Hybrid).


Job Summary

This position will be responsible for providing strategic and tactical direction for a supply management team or teams. It will be directly responsible for the work unit's performance including providing daily work direction, employee and supplier performance evaluations, resource allocation, business planning and control, and the development of company-wide initiatives within the jurisdiction of the work unit represented.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manages employees and has accountability for the performance and results of a team within Supply Management. Provides guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers and addresses resource and operational challenges to support departmental plans and priorities.
  • Impacts the Supply Management team's ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives as guided by policies and departmental plan.
  • Responsible for monitoring OE purchased part health which requires collaboration with an international supply base. Manages part risks through the development of mitigation plans to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Manages and supports the on-going maintenance of the OE purchased part stocking strategy that leverages PFEP process.
  • Identifies and solves technical and operational problems related to Supply Management; understands and recognizes broader impact across the Company. Decisions and problem solving are guided by policies, procedures, department plan and guidance from leader.
  • Manages one or more Supply Management teams; adapts department plans and priorities to meet short-term service and/or operational objectives.
  • Guides and influences others either internally or externally to adopt a different point of view.

Experience Requirements

  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience
  • Broad expertise in Supply Chain Management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a Supply Management department and department staff members in successful support of business goals and plans.
  • Proven track record of being a strong problem solver, an effective communicator, handle multiple tasks, and demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Deep expertise in leading groups to reach consensus on realistic, specific goals and objectives and ability to lead the group to prioritize those objectives.
  • Travel required up to 10%.

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
