BTC seeks a candidate for a Research Assistant. The position will contribute to all aspects of applied research & evaluation processes. If selected, you'll be part of our mission to support families and children and participate in several projects for clients from disciplines including policy development and practice, social services, early care and education, Tribal and Indigenous communities, home visiting, mental health, and/or pediatric healthcare. BTC's multidisciplinary staff will provide mentorship to help you develop skills in qualitative & quantitative methods, data collection, analytic reasoning, verbal & written communication, data visualization, and project management.

Responsibilities:

  • Support clients in implementing research & evaluation activities
  • Support development of research protocols & data collection tools
  • Assist in developing data sets for analyses
  • Collect, code & manage qualitative data
  • Conduct quantitative & qualitative analyses
  • Support interpretation & reporting of research findings
  • Troubleshoot & communicate solutions to project stakeholders
  • Support dissemination of research findings
  • Conduct literature reviews
  • Provide administrative support including coordination of presentations, meetings & conferences
  • Participate in meetings to support project activities
  • Keep abreast of trends in the field by attending training to enhance quantitative/qualitative analysis skills & professional development activities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Public Health, or a closely related field
  • Clinical Research Experience
  • Ability to work well in fast-paced environments & balance the demands of working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal& collaboration skills
  • Strong verbal& written communication skills
  • Attention to detail & the ability to multitask
  • Computer skills, especially with the Microsoft Office Suite &EXCEL
  • Solution-focused problem solving& creative thinking skills
  • Discretion with sensitive material &communications
  • Good work ethic & motivation to a be self-starter
  • Interest in supporting families& their young children facing adversity
  • Statistical ability& beginning knowledge of statistical software such as SPSS& STATA, a plus
