Location: full-time, on-site position; Austin, TX preferred (open to Seattle, NYC, or Washington DC)
Travel: up to 20% Provide compliance assurance with JLL and regulatory requirements regarding environmental health and safety. Conduct hazard assessments for JLL related activities and assist in creation of job safety plans Attend client site safety meetings and develop content for account safety meetings. Act as a regulatory resource in collaboration with the client safety and environmental managers. Drive implementation of HSSE initiatives regarding account activities on high-risk activities such as Confined Space Entry, Electrical Safety, LO/TO, Elevated Work and general maintenance tasks Collaborate with JLL vendor partners to assure they operate their businesses in compliance with JLL/Account requirements while on-site. Supports JLL Account teams across assigned sites in the region. Act as focal point for HSE across assigned locations. Manage and reduce operational risks providing guidance and advice on health and safety risk management at all levels. Ensure a continued working knowledge of relevant current legislation. Identify improvement opportunities and support the account team in identifying practical cost-effective solutions and controls for HSE risks. Facilitate implementation of processes to achieve compliance with account KPIs. Support and where necessary manage investigations into HSE incidents or accidents. Coordinate the implementation of HSE monitoring procedures for timely internal performance reporting. Any other duties deemed appropriate to the role as determined by the Regional HSSE Lead and/or other senior directors. Required Experience in the implementation and management of EHS programs and management systems Practical working knowledge of Health and Safety tools and techniques, ideally within a Facilities Management environment. Success working with subcontractors/vendors supporting mutual safety objectives. Proven track record of success executing high hazard prevention programs; specifically: LO/TO, electrical safety, confined space entry and elevated work/fall protection. A proven track record managing regulatory compliance for the US and Canada based locations. Knowledge and understanding of relevant standards, legislation, codes of practice, guidance and operating procedures. Presentation skills to deliver specialist advice at all levels and to deliver localized training to staff as required. Preferred Facilities engineering experience Relevant professional certification(s) General Industry / Construction OSHA certifications desired (CHM, CSHM, CIH, CSP, CEP, etc.) other professional certifications/licenses pertinent to facilities maintenance, engineering and safety.
