Why M Physicians?

Coordinates physical fitness assessments and evaluates athletic performance of Signature Health and Wellness patients. Provides counseling and designs management plan aimed at improving physical fitness level and athletic performance of Signature Health and Wellness patients. Builds relationships with individuals and community businesses to promote and expand the Signature Health and Wellness program. Performs fitness evaluations and designs individualized training programs.

What you will do as an

1. Coordinates physical fitness assessment, evaluations and designs training programs based on results and individual goals.

  • Supervises extensive fitness evaluation including measurement of VO2max.
  • Performs and interprets fitness, strength and performance testing
  • Contacts and defers to physician (or appropriate health care professional) when evaluation exceeds scope of practice.
  • Develops and builds relationships with Signature patients.
  • Documents findings and shares information with physician and other colleagues as needed to optimize care.

2. Manages fitness technology aspects of the Signature program.

  • Supervises installation and maintenance of fitness equipment.
  • Recommends needs for equipment renovation or replacement with Signature program administrator.

3. Leads and develops professional fitness offerings.

  • Plans and implements professional fitness improvement offerings.
  • Recommends additional support, testing or treatment if needed, such as athletic training or physical therapy.
  • Organizes and manages CME opportunities for staff

4. Represents Signature Health and Wellness at corporate site visits and participates in public speaking events in order to promote the program

  • Networks and builds strong relationships with individuals, business leaders and foundations.

5. Coordinates care within Signature Health and Wellness program, sharing patient information with nursing staff, physician and nutrition colleagues as required to ensure comprehensive, individualized service that meets patient needs.

6. Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect fitness level of population served. (as applicable)

  • Communicates in a respectful manner.
  • Ensures a safe, secure environment.
  • Partners with patient and physician in care and decision making.
  • Individualizes care and service plan to meet patient needs.
  • Modifies service based on individual served.
  • Provides education based on assessment of learning needs of learner.

What you will need:

  • College degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology/Exercise Science or Physical Education with specialty training in applied human performance training.
  • Proven experience doing fitness evaluations, and designing customized training programs. Trained to in perform and interpret human fitness, strength and performance testing.
  • Applied human performance training. Advanced knowledge of current technology used in fitness assessment.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. Proven influence and leadership skills.

Compensation:

28.98 - 43.78 USD Hourly
