Overview

As the Senior Administrator - Field Marketing, you will be responsible for administering and supporting the initiatives developed by Field Marketing. This position will support consumer initiatives through local marketing activities and community development efforts within assigned markets. The Administrator takes guidance from the Manager and identifies and coordinates community involvement activities that develop and maintain TDS's brand while also generating sales opportunities for consumer products. This role is responsible for monitoring new development and working with the Manager to implement initiatives designed to build local community partnerships with Multiple Dwelling Unit (MDU) properties, developers/realtors, and other association-based entities. This position is responsible for identifying public relations opportunities and competitive threats in the communities supported.

The pay range listed for this position represents the low and high end of the base compensation range. The actual offer amount will carefully consider multiple factors, such as relevant skills, qualifications, work experience, location and/or competencies that align with the specified role. Certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses and equity awards.

Responsibilities

Local Market Support

    Research local event and sponsorship opportunities and provide recommendations on participation. Coordinates all event activities such as registration, recruiting volunteers, event management, and documenting results.
  • Serve as local market advocate on issues related to products, services, and operational performance, and shares with Associate Manager.
  • Provide local support for marketing strategies including customer demonstration events, open houses, customer appreciation and other public events.
  • Implement programs developed by Associate Manager to build relationships for partnerships with MDU owners and/or property managers; develop business relationships with Home Owner's Associations and real estate agents or developers for marketing agreements and/or specialized marketing programs.
  • Develop contacts/relationships with local Chambers of Commerce, town administrators and other community business groups and leaders.
  • Administer the local, tactical, and targeted sales initiatives developed by Commercial Marketing (sales blitzes, group demonstrations, campaign support, referral generation, targeted prospecting, and local activities).

Product Support and Competitive Information

  • Monitor and identify competitive threats and opportunities.
  • Collect competitive data and funnel to consumer and commercial product management/development support teams.
  • Provide competitor offering/pricing and supply comparisons to TDS products and services.
  • Assist Associate Manager with Aid to Construction (ATC) and Land Development Agreements (LDA) as requested.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree (or higher) -OR- 4+ years professional work experience.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • 2+ years marketing, community outreach, or event planning experience.
  • Ability to travel 30%-40% of the time in the assigned territory.

  • Ability to coordinate and execute successful events.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Experienced in building strong working relationships.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Background and/or working knowledge in customer service, marketing, management and/or sales.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, write and operate a computer keyboard, standard office equipment and telephone. The employee regularly communicates with customers. The employee is frequently required to move about and reach for items. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee may need to operate a motor vehicle during the work shift. Benefits

Associates scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week have access to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off benefits such as vacation (15 days accrued per year for full-time; pro-rated for part-time associates working between 20-39 hours), sick leave (10 days accrued per year for full-time and pro-rated for all other associates), seven paid national holidays and one floating holiday, paid parental leave (2 weeks after 12 months of employment), among others. Short Term Disability and Long Term Disability coverage is also available for associates working 30 or more hours per week and Education Assistance is available to full-time associates. Associates scheduled to work under twenty hours per week or for a limited term (i.e. interns) are eligible for medical coverage, the 401(k) plan (if 18 or older), as well as sick leave (10 days accrued per year for full-time and pro-rated for all other associates).
