Workiva is looking for a Senior Product Manager, Framework Security to define and lead the product vision and strategy within our Platform Operations team. This role will spearhead a new initiative to monetize platform security features, working directly with customers to understand their needs, address challenges, and deliver impactful features that provide significant business value.

You'll collaborate with engineering, design, project management, and business teams while engaging with senior leaders across the company to ensure the success of this initiative.

We're seeking someone with expertise in operating large-scale distributed systems and deep knowledge of security features such as encryption (BYOK & HYOK), audit logging, event monitoring, authentication, and authorization. Your ability to translate technical understanding into actionable product strategies will be key to creating exceptional outcomes for our customers.

What You'll Do

  • Develop a deep understanding of business and customer needs to define requirements for a resilient and reliable product

  • Provide data-driven insights to influence stakeholders and engineers, driving clarity and alignment across teams

  • Create and foster alignment to enable faster execution, frequent communication, and early identification of risks

  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, User Experience, Customer Success, and Go-to-Market, to deliver on the product vision and roadmap

  • Identify long-term investment opportunities, building support from partners to prioritize high-impact features

  • Own the product roadmap, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to execute the overall vision effectively

  • Collect performance metrics and form hypotheses to address complex technical needs, driving continuous improvement in product development

  • Leverage insights from enterprise customers and your technical expertise to train and enable partners, ensuring the product scales successfully

What You'll Need

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 6 years of experience in a product management role in software or a related field

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Proven experience building and launching SaaS-based security solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience bringing a product from concept to launch, including go-to-market strategy, packaging, pricing, and enablement

  • Strong customer engagement skills, particularly in strategic security sales

  • Experience delivering solutions that require complex data migrations

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science or an MBA

  • Familiarity with agile development environments and continuous deployment practices

  • A track record of shipping products that received positive user feedback

  • A self-starter mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong leadership and communication skills to inspire and align cross-functional teams

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on prioritization and outcomes

Travel Requirements & Working Conditions

  • Willingness to travel up to 20% for team and corporate meetings, fostering relationships and representing company interests

  • Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, as we embrace flexible work arrangements

How You'll Be Rewarded

Salary range in the US: $129,000.00 - $207,000.00

A discretionary bonus typically paid annually

Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire

401(k) match and comprehensive employee benefits package
