Who you will work with...

This is a highly visible role that reports to the Senior Director, Corporate Strategy and involves regular interaction with Senior Management up to and including the CEO, as well as divisional and functional leadership. A partnership-led, service-oriented mindset will be required to build and sustain the right relationships to make this role successful in driving our enterprise strategies forward.

Who we are looking for...

The Manager, Corporate Strategy supports the most critical strategic initiatives for the company. The role is responsible for developing compelling, data driven insights and recommendations for both enterprise and divisional strategic projects and business planning. The role will work closely with the Executive Leadership Team at Campbell's (Campbell's Leadership Team - CLT) to drive initiatives forward by identifying opportunities, sizing potential impact, organizing work plans and managing stakeholders.

What you will do...

  • Provide project leadership for key Division and select Enterprise initiatives; lead cross-functional teams to deliver successful outcomes on time by creating well-organized and detailed workplans, identifying and overcoming challenges as they arise, holding team members accountable, and sharing progress updates with key stakeholders and steering committee members
  • Develop collaborative working relationships with senior leaders and team members, and partner effectively to advance strategic / critical thinking
  • Prepare materials for the Board and Campbell Leadership Team to drive clarity and alignment around strategic imperatives
  • Support development of the Strategic Plan, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), as well as other short and long-term business plans and business reviews (e.g., portfolio evaluation)
  • Analyze and drive insights from quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify opportunities for growth and margin expansion across the business, including industry trends
  • Establish clear business cases for growth opportunities with rationale for strategic investments and improvement opportunities by assessing market potential, consumer/customer needs, the competitive landscape, and other relevant considerations
  • Analyze strategic fit for potential acquisitions and strategic partnerships and prepare recommendations based on due diligence findings
  • Identify leading and lagging indicators of value that can be quantified and tracked over time to measure performance of strategic execution. Manage, track and analyze KPI delivery
  • Recommend and develop action plans to implement operational improvements to drive operational efficiency and improved ways of working (e.g., Divisional planning process improvements)
  • Develop effective working relationships with other peers and junior team members across the enterprise

What you bring to the table (must have)...

  • B.A./B.S. (business-related field preferred, not required)
  • Minimum professional experience of 2+ years at a top management consulting or investment banking firm, or 3+ years related experience in corporate strategy
  • Superior analytical and quantitative skills; ability to draw conclusions from complex data
  • Capacity to work collaboratively as well as independently with cross-functional teams with minimal direct supervision; Must be a self-starter and take initiative without direct instruction
  • Poised, articulate presentation and facilitation skills, unafraid to raise issues and contrary opinions to senior leaders

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to influence others and drive complex problems toward resolution and adoption
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to scope, plan, and execute large scale, complex projects
  • Demonstrated track record of leadership to drive business impact in complex, ambiguous circumstances (e.g., driving strategic initiatives, working with cross-functional teams)
  • Strong listening skills - seeks to understand and spends time on learning history/context before looking to drive change
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and ability to flex approach to change direction as needed
  • Demonstrated discretion and independent judgment in handling of confidential information and matters of significance
  • Knowledge of the Consumer Products / Food industry a plus. Ability to quickly learn and influence key business drivers is a critical success factor
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

This role will be based out of Camden, NJ. Limited travel will be required to other locations.

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between

$118,600-$170,400

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
