Description

Medica's Operations Operational Analyst II is responsible for operationalizing business and/or regulatory requirements, including project management process improvement and work related to growth initiatives and or optimization. This is an experienced level professional positions that provides explanations and interpretations and is accountable for some complex responsibilities with limited supervision.

Key Accountabilities:



  • Act as subject matter expert supporting two payment integrity vendors
  • Troubleshooting & problem solving with claims, vendors, other internal partners
  • Provide reporting analytics


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field
  • 3 + years of relevant, professional work experience
  • 1 + years of experience analyzing operational processes and provider billing/claims data


Skills and Abilities:



  • Prior knowledge in insurance coding and/or claims experience, AAPC or AHIMA certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of contracts, policies and claim systems
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal) with all types/levels of audience
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
  • Ability to conduct research, analyze data; to categorize and report findings; and to identify patterns/trends in the data
  • Strong attention to detail; analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to identify issues and to develop recommendations to improve processes and procedures
  • Ability to successfully organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks with conflicting priority levels and deadlines


This position is a Remote role and will work remotely 100% of the time. To be eligible for consideration, candidates must have a primary home address located within any state where Medica is registered as an employer - AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, IL, KS, KY, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, ND, NE, OK, SD, TN, TX, VA, WI.

The full salary range for this position is $49,800 - $85,300. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data.
