As an Environmental Services Supervisor, you will lead a team of custodial professionals to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our guests. Through hands-on leadership and coaching, you will inspire your team to take pride in their work, delivering exceptional service that enhances the guest experience. By understanding each guest's unique needs, you will create WOW moments and lasting memories that extend far beyond their stay with us.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Supervise and support a team of Environmental Services (EVS) employees, overseeing daily operations to ensure a clean and well-maintained property. Regularly round the casino floor and racetrack to assess cleanliness, address immediate concerns, and ensure EVS team members are meeting standards. Assist with scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management, including providing feedback, addressing concerns, and administering discipline when necessary. Resolve employee inquiries and guest concerns, ensuring compliance with department policies, procedures, and service standards throughout the shift. Provide leadership and direction to maintain the highest cleanliness standards in the casino, public areas, offices, and other designated spaces. Conduct daily inspections, pre-shift briefings, and team meetings, offering ongoing training and compliance guidance as needed. Prepare end-of-shift reports and coordinate property maintenance needs with the facilities team to ensure timely resolution of issues.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Strong communication skills in both written and verbal English, enabling effective interactions with team members, guests, and management. Able to make sound, immediate decisions with confidence and minimal supervision, ensuring smooth operations. Proficient in reading and writing, allowing for accurate evaluation of reports and professional correspondence. Highly perceptive and aware of individual needs, with the ability to handle all situations calmly and professionally. Skilled at multi-tasking and thriving in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, ensuring efficiency and collaboration. Basic knowledge of computer software, including Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with familiarity with office equipment such as phones, copiers, and fax machines. Has at least 2 years of experience working in Enviornmental Services/EVS, preferably at a facility of similar size, such as a hotel, hospital, retirement home, or similar. Has experience leading a team of 10-15 employees
