Investor Relations Liaison
The Investor Relations Liaison is responsible for coordinating all activities related to: the Quarterly Earnings Release, Analyst & Shareholder Relations, Presentations (including all Board, shareholder, and Senior Officer, and road show presentations), Vendor Relationships, and Rating Agencies.
Position Responsibilities:
Quarterly Earnings Release


  • Coordinate activities surrounding release of quarterly earnings: communicate earnings release date; work with Corporate Communications to issue press release announcing date of press release and conference call/webcast details; set up conference call and webcast with vendors; convert press release, financials pages and earnings slides to Adobe format for blast email to distribution list; send blast email to investment community prior to earnings conference call.
  • Create and update earnings slides and facing pages using press narrative and financial pages from Controller and other sources.
  • Using analyst research reports, monitor analyst estimates and stock recommendations prior to and subsequently following the quarterly release of earnings. Distribute summary to management council members.
  • Monitor peer quarterly earnings releases and prepare summary of key performance measures to management council members.
  • Review write-ups following earnings release for analyst comments quotes to be included in Senior Officers Meeting presentations.


Annual Shareholder Meeting Support


  • Work with Corporate Legal and Corporate Communications in preparation of the annual shareholder meeting including the daily distribution of proxy voting tabulations, annual report and proxy material distribution, and annual meeting presentation.


Presentations


  • Create and update board, senior officer, road show and conference presentations.
  • Maintain catalog of presentations, general information and current events for major departments and divisions within the corporation to be used in creating new presentation materials and communicating with the investment community.


Peer Monitoring


  • Monitor, analyze, summarize, and share peer bank data including, but not limited to:
    Quarterly Earnings: Monitors schedule of peer presenters in addition to reviewing earnings releases, slides, transcripts, and Q&A to understand, compare and summarize results, guidance, updates to guidance, and strategic initiatives. Prior to CMA presentation, shares this information to assist in preparing for anticipated Q&A and to serve as a backdrop and anticipate market reaction considering CMA performance, guidance, and strategic initiatives. Following earnings, synthesizes and shares results, guidance, and strategic action updates in a timely manner to Executive Leadership. Reviews materials for best practices on presentation of information and disclosures.
  • Conferences: Monitors attendance at major industry conferences including those that CMA does and does not attend. Proposes recommendations on CMA attendance as part of investor engagement strategy. Studies, summarizes, and shares relevant conclusions from presentations and transcripts to assist in anticipating investor questions and in comparison, to CMA results. Reviews materials for best practices on presentation of information and disclosures.
  • 10-Q and 10-K: Monitors quarterly and annual regulatory reporting to understand results and best practices on presentation of information and disclosures from an IR perspective.
  • Ad Hoc Communications & Other Relevant Activity (Press Releases, 8K, Investor Days, Media): Regular monitoring of press releases, 8Ks, investor days and other public forums to identify emerging topics, issues, questions, and best practices.
  • Data Collection & Reporting: Collects and maintain information in a central location to assist in analyzing results and identifying key themes.


Rating Agencies, BURC/EWC, IR Website, Diversity, Other


  • Assist with the review of rating agency write-ups.
  • Prepare and distribute quarterly rating agency package.
  • Maintain debt ratings on corporate bulletin board and IR section of corporate website. Keep current write-ups from the various rating agencies available on the corporate bulletin board.
  • Act as liaison between Corporate Web Administration and website vendor.
  • Continually review IR section of the corporate website to ensure that all information is current, accurate and relevant.
  • Work to enhance the content of the IR section of the website as new developments or changes are requested. Benchmark peer websites to ensure consistency of information available to users.

Position Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in finance or related field
  • 4 years financial analysis and reporting experience. Managing small to medium projects
  • 4 years Presenting and reporting to senior management
  • Strong analytical and communication skills

Work Best Category: Category C - Days in the office will either be designated days or will vary week to week from 2-5 days Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday Salary: To Be Determined Based on Individual Experience
