DESCRIPTION/JOB SUMMARY

Sew together cut fabric parts utilizing specialized sewing machinery



RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

*Refer to the sewing diagram and work instructions by style to sew cut parts into specific sub-assemblies

*Operate the specialized sewing machines per the operating instructions supplied with the machines

*Ensure all fabric notches align while sewing and use 6 to 7 stitches per inch for sewing parts together

*Use the correct sew thread per the color chart and ensure all parts are sewn consistently and fabric is not bunched up

*Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management

*Complete the annual CTPAT Security Training

*Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment

*Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations

*Assist with organization and cleaning of work area, keeping aisles and walkways clear at all times

*Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary



REQUIRED SKILLS

*Must be a friendly team player, detail-oriented, and honest

Must have the ability to:

*Multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment

*Read and comprehend work instructions

*Lift/Push/Pull 15 lbs.

Must have:

*Relentless drive to achieve advancement and continuous improvement

*A willingness to learn and/or adapt to new work methods

*Good verbal and written communication skills



REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

*At least 1 years of sewing experience in a furniture sewing operation or training in an equivalent function



PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

*At least 2 years of sewing experience in a furniture sewing operation preferred

*Current or previous successful employment experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferred



PREFERRED EDUCATION

*High School Diploma or GED



REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

*Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now, or in the future
