AHEAD is hiring a Manufacturing Manager to join our new facility in Libertyville, IL! The Manufacturing Manager will plan, organize, evaluate, and control the operations within manufacturing safely and effectively.
This is a first shift position, 7:30am - 4:00pm Monday through Friday

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the manufacturing team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize production efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness
  • Monitor and analyze production metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to ensure production targets are met
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, supply chain, and quality assurance, to drive process improvements and resolve operational issues
  • Monitor and enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
  • Implement and maintain lean manufacturing principles and practices to streamline operations and reduce waste
  • Oversee equipment maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to ensure uninterrupted production
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, employee engagement, and professional development
  • Resolve personnel problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending action
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, technology advancements, and best practices in manufacturing management
Qualifications
  • Minimum Required:
  • A high-school diploma or GED, or an additional three years of related on-the-job experience
  • 3-5 years' experience in a supervision or management role
  • Working experience with production, strategic and financial planning
  • Preferred:
  • Four-year degree in Business or Engineering or equivalent
  • Project management
  • Critical thinking
  • Manage cross-functional teams
  • Microsoft office
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards
  • Ability to occasionally stand up to 2.5 hours a day
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50lbs

The compensation range indicated in this posting reflects the On-Target Earnings ("OTE") for this role, which includes a base salary and any applicable target bonus amount. This OTE range may vary based on the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
